Friendship Walk
The Friendship Circle Walk began in 2009 with a small dedicated committee, a handful of business partners and an idea to build a self-perpetuating annual community fundraising and awareness event.
Since then, it has become a popular event attracting over 1,500 people and raising around $200,000 per year to support programs for children and young people with and without disabilities.
Friendship Circle
Sydney Friendship Circle was started by Rabbi Sender Kavka and Chana Kavka in 2007 with one participant and a vision to create a better future for people of all abilities.
Friendship Circle is a highly successful initiative which pairs young people in the community with children, teens and young adults with disabilities. Volunteers provide friendship and assistance, and in return, they gain social and organisational skills, self-confidence and learn to understand and embrace differences, thus completing the friendship circle.
